The Business of Architecture was established with the objective of providing strategic and practical business assistance to architectural practices that may not otherwise have access to timely and specific solutions typically encountered in the daily life of architecture.
Whilst the focus is predominantly on architecture and design, it is our belief that the success of an architectural practice should be underpinned by its culture and the attitude towards its people, risk, financial dealings, and general management matters.
We do not provide design advice, we have confidence that architectural studies and experience in the industry have prepared architects to deliver that aspect of their profession. Neither do we believe that designers and architects should have to substantially alter the way they view the practice of their profession in order to run a successful business.
It is however our contention that small improvements and changes in attitude in many areas of the business can result in substantial benefits across the whole practice.

Where we can provide assistance

The areas requiring attention may differ between practices however as an industry we may all face similar challenges – The Business of Architecture is able to provide insight based on experience in providing strategies and practical solutions for the resolution of some of those challenges.
